ABOUT GEITA GOLD MINING LTD Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill in vacant position(s) mentioned below:
- Conduct detailed vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Perform routine and ad-hoc equipment condition assessments.
- Ensure monitoring activities are aligned with maintenance schedules.
- Support implementation of predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Identify early signs of component wear and failure trends.
- Collect accurate condition monitoring data from equipment.
- Analyze trends and identify abnormalities or deterioration patterns.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Recommend proactive maintenance actions to prevent breakdowns.
- Prepare detailed condition monitoring reports.
- Provide clear recommendations for maintenance interventions.
- Escalate critical issues that may impact equipment reliability or safety.
- Conduct physical inspections of critical equipment.
- Verify abnormal readings through on-site checks.
- Support maintenance teams during inspections and shutdowns.
- Conduct risk assessments before monitoring activities.
- Diploma or FTC in mechanical or automobile engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automobile engineering will be added advantage
- Vibration analysis certification
- Thermography Analysis certification
- Non-Destructive test certification (PT, MT & UT)
- Certified Reliability Engineering Courses (MLT and NDT etc.).
- Certified Condition Monitoring Courses (Vibration Analysis, Thermography analysis etc.)
- Must possess valid Tanzanian Driving license
- Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in condition monitoring, maintenance, or reliability roles
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting tools, maintenance systems)
- Experience working in mining, processing plants, or heavy industry
- Ability to conduct field inspections and equipment condition checks
- Understanding of maintenance workflows and planning processes
- Ability to work in challenging plant or field environments
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in condition monitoring, maintenance, or reliability roles
- Experience in vibration monitoring, equipment diagnostics, or predictive maintenance
- Exposure to mining, mineral processing, or industrial environments
- Experience working with maintenance or reliability teams
- Exposure to reliability or asset management systems
